Dance
Teams
The Dynamic Dance Teams are comprised of star students who perform
in various shows and compete in competitions. Teams are as followed:
Elementary Team (ages 4-8), Junior Team (ages 9-12), Senior Team
(ages 13 and up), and Senior Company (ages 13 and up comprised
of advanced students).
All students participating in the competitive dance program must
meet the following requirements. These students must be enrolled
as unlimited students and need to take 3 subjects during the week
not including the hour designated for competitive dance program
rehearsal. These star students must be enrolled in ballet twice
a week and choose two other subjects from tap, jazz or gymnastics.
Expenses for these students will be higher than students only
participating in dance class and not the competitive program. Parents
please understand that being a part of the competitive dance team
is a special privilege and will demand much more of the students’ time.
Because the students will be participating in local festivals,
parades, dance competitions / conventions, fund-raisers and extra
rehearsals, students looking to dance as a recreational activity
along with other after school programs or activities are not recommended
to join the competitive dance program but to participate in regular
dance classes.
Students desiring to be a part of the competitive dance team
will need to audition and sign the Dynamic Dance Team Oath. Students
auditioning will be placed on one of three teams, elementary dance
team, junior dance team, or senior dance team. Students are placed
on a team according to age and ability.
