Student of the Month:
Congratulations Cassidy Fottrell!!! Cassidy is a Joy to teach. She applies teacher’s feedback to improve her dance technique, and she is always polite to her classmates. Keep up the hard work Cassidy!!!!
Winter Break:
Dynamic Movements is currently closed. All classes/rehearsals will resume Saturday January 4. Students who only receive 3 lessons due to holidays may attend a make up class in any subject offered for their age and ability during the month of January.
We will hold all regular scheduled classes on Monday January 20th.
June Recital Dates:
Dynamic Movements is excited to celebrate our 10 year anniversary recital this summer!!!! The final dates for dress rehearsals and performance times will be released next month. We will also have a scheduled picture time for each class during picture week in late May/early June.
*We will be taking measurements for students during regular classes this month. Please make sure your account is paid if you are not participating in recital installments with your monthly tuition.

*We will hold a parent competition meeting on Thursday January 16th after practice at 7:00pm.
*Extra Practice this month will be held at the studio on Saturday January 18th 9:00am-10:15am.

*Monday January 20th-Electri-City Production Rehearsal 10am-3pm (Students who attend a school that is not closed for the holiday will be excused).
*Attention Minis-Please plan to attend Saturday January 25th from 12-2pm and February 22nd 12-2pm for production practice.
Dress Rehearsal/Mock Competition:
*Mock competition will be held at the Suffolk Cultural Arts Center on February 9th. Due to the size of our team it is necessary for us to rent a larger venue for this event. Each student will need to contribute to help pay for the building rental fee. Mock Competition Fee for students with Solo, Duet, Trios are $45 and $35 for students without Solos, Duets, and Trios.
Goody Bag Fee $30: this is a special treat that is a tradition at DM. Before each competition, the students are given a spirit bag filled with needed and fun items for the competition weekend.
Team T-shirt Fee $15: Each year we get special Team t-shirts made to wear to competitions. The shirts will incorporate this years production theme as well as list of all dancers on the entire team. Parents may also order a shirt. Please see the front desk before January 15th to order parent shirts.

*Dance Team June Recital-we will perform all group competition dances at the June recital. Technique classes for dance team members are optional except Ballet which is a $85 costume fee. All other classes are make your costume options meaning the instructor will ask each student to provide their own items. For example last year we asked a Hip Hop class to get a pair of sweat pants, tank top and purchase a $5 tie. The purpose of this is to reduce cost but allow dancers to perform using items they already own or can purchase for a cheap rate. We have sent out an email with forms for each student to fill in and return to the studio by
January 24th with the $85 fee. Forms are also available at the studio.
